A Weekend Riding Event
Kick off the 2019 mountain-bike season at this weekend-long festival on Warren County's finest MTB trails.
Join us for the first Ride On! Weekend (presented by WPM Trails and The Hub) May 18-19, 2019. This event showcases the four distinct mountain-biking destinations in Warren County, N.Y., and gives you an opportunity to earn a local craft beer (or soda or ice cream) just for riding your bike and exploring new trail systems!
Warren County is a riding destination featuring four professionally built singletrack trail systems, located across the county in several authentic Adirondack communities. Come for the trails and stay for the experience!
TOKENS: will be placed at each trail system at a specific time and location. The first 50 riders to the location get a token (scroll down for location details). For every 2 tokens collected, riders can redeem them for a local craft beer, soda or ice cream at the event's afterparties. Both parties will feature live local music!
SATURDAY'S PARTY: at The Hub (27 Market St., Brant Lake) (also the Brant Lake Bike Park trailhead)
SUNDAY'S PARTY: at Becks Tavern (881 Peaceful Valley Road, North Creek) (just down the road from the Ski Bowl)
Bring the whole family! In addition to sweet, pro-built singletrack, each destination offers hiking opportunities and more!
Register for FREE and get a token for each park you explore.
The first 50 people to ride two parks in one day will get a free beer, soft drink (or ice cream) at the Hub (on Saturday) or Becks (on Sunday). Participants must present at least two tokens to redeem.
Spend the night and ride or hike all four parks.
Be among the first to get a copy of Ride On! Warren County MTB Trail Guide, a free print publication which will be distributed in MTB hotspots all over the region in the spring/summer of 2019 and 2020.
SATURDAY, MAY 18
Gurney Lane Mountain Bike Park (118 Gurney Lane, Queensbury)
Tokens will be placed at 10 a.m. on Rock Buster.
Brant Lake Bike Park (27 Market St., Brant Lake)
Tokens will be placed at 3 p.m. at the lookout/Overlook of Brant Lake.
Be sure to stick around at The Hub after the ride to redeem your tokens for a refreshment and the post-ride party with live music! All proceeds from the party go toward keeping the trails free and open to the public, and future trail development.
SUNDAY, MAY 19
Garnet Hill Lodge Outdoor Center (39 Garnet Hill Road, North River)
Tokens will be placed at 10 a.m. on Double Downs.
North Creek Ski Bowl Park (Route 28, North Creek)
Tokens will be placed at 2 p.m. at the top of the Long Trail/Hudson Chairlift.
Stop by Becks after the ride to redeem your tokens for a refreshment and the post-ride party with live music!
All four trail systems were designed and built by WPM Trails on a combination of town and private land.
All trails are free and open to the public.
This event is made possible by the Warren County Tourism Department, Warren County Safe & Quality Bicycling Organization, and Occupancy Tax Grant Funds awarded by the Town of Horicon.

During the winter of 2018/2019, father and daughter Dave Matthews and Alex Kochon decided to get started on a project they had been dreaming up for some time: to create a comprehensive, mountain-bike trail guide for Warren County, New York, in magazine form. They had been inspired by GRIP, a mountain-bike guide for Rutland County, published by The Mountain Times in Killington, Vermont. With trail maps detailing the best that Warren County has to offer, Ride On! is for tourists and locals alike — really anyone looking for new trails to explore on their bikes. The 2019/2020 edition of Ride On! is set to be published in late May and distributed over the next two summers. Dave and Alex would like to thank Drew Cappabianca for all of his help with the guide, along with Steve Ovitt, Jason Mikula and Siobhan Chase at The Mountain Times, Lisa Lehman, Bob and Heidi Underwood, Wendy Matthews, and all of our supportive advertisers. Ride On! is a reality because of you!
